Meet Ms. Jodi
Jodi L. Simmons, Better known as Coachzilla, stands as the owner of Sassy Steps Dance Studio, which is the home to the Baby, Junior and Dazzling Allstars Parade Team. Jodi began her dance education 35 years ago at Tippy Toes Dance Studio. Her dance experience includes ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, lyrical, hip hop, competition, liturgical, salsa, ballroom, line dance, aerobics and zumba. She was an Assumption High School Filly for 4 years. In 2000, she was hired at American All Star Dance Company as an advance instructor, where she traveled Tri-State to teach at numerous high schools and college dance camps. Ms. Jodi has danced at University of Hawaii vs Navy Football game in Honolulu, Hawaii, Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami, Florida, and 3 Saints Performances in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has choreographed for dance teams, video shoots, and organizations throughout Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Ms. Jodi opened her 1st Dance Studio, Gifted Dancers, at the age of 18 years old and has been in business for over 20 years. She is the proud mother of 2 girls, LaiLah Alexie and Addisyn Shae. Away from dance, Ms. Jodi is a Published Author of Dear God Moments Workbook.
The Dazzling AllStars
The Dazzling AllStars were born in 2010 as the parade team of Sassy Steps Dance Studio. Since then, the team has grown tremendously. They began to expand from parades to performing background for various music artist, halftime performances for the New Orleans Pelicans and several community events. The AllStars also perform every other year at Disney World's Downtown Disney Springs Finale Show. In 2017 the "Baby and Junior AllStars" was created where younger girls who aspire to become Dazzling AllStars are able to learn some of their routines and perform in Parades.

Our goal is to provide Quality and Professional Instruction to all types of dancers in a positive and friendly atmosphere. Our classes create not only well rounded dancers, but well-rounded individuals with poise, confidence, discipline, and of course physical strength & endurance.

Sassy Steps Dance Studio is dedicated to providing students with a solid foundation for dance and encouraging every student to discover their strengths. Our classes encourage confidence building, teamwork, and personal growth, as well as poise, flexibility, balance and discipline. Students at Sassy Steps learn the value of hard work and take pride in their accomplishments.
Sassy Steps Dance Studio offers dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, technique, and parade to students ages 2 and older. Weekly classes, our annual recital, and our performance and parade team provide students with many opportunities. Dancers will improve their technique, get personalized feedback, perform, and make tremendous progress throughout the year. We also offer(available in Louisiana only) Sensual Steps Tease Classes , Line Dance Aerobics and Twerk Fitness Classes for adults. Ballroom, Spiritual/Liturgical, African, Salsa and private classes available upon request.
